Cuenca, Ecuador in Photos

Cuenca, Ecuador, another adorable, colonial city certainly worth a visit. Land of expats, panama hats, and hundreds of cathedrals. Buildings of clean lines painted prettily with muted colors give Cuenca a more conservative feel stylistically. Cuenca comes complete with nice parks and walks along the small river that runs through town.

With expats come hip coffee shops, craft beers, and cool pizza joints. Cuenca has no shortage of higher end boutique hotels and nice restaurants to accommodate. The university lends a youthful, progressive quality to the city. It’s clear the economic standing of Cuenca is better off than much of the rest of the country. It’s a lovely place to spend a few days.
