Driver’s Eye Perspective
One thing I’ve loved about the drive from Texas to California has been the diversity in landscapes. Even within the desert the land changes in detail sometimes surprisingly quickly. Sudden clusters of low green bushes crop up in wide, flat, dry deserts. Landscape colors change subtly with elevation, more shades of pink and beige than I knew existed. Lush forests pop up out of nowhere with beautiful changing leaves and immense variety in vegetation. Every shade of blue paints the sky. Changes in climate create cloud formations producing mesmerizing movement up above. I found the perspective from the drivers seat captivating and interesting nearly always.
